So, I should be revising BUT………..

Delaying, frittering, prorogation or idling – they all amount to the same thing PROCRASTINATION. We all do it to varying degrees and around this joyful time of exams your average procrastinator goes into overdrive. People find all sorts of amazing distractions that need doing urgently in place of revision, cleaning and reorganizing are obvious as well the standard crucial inter-house video game marathon. Everyone will write a revision schedule and unanimously fail to stick to it, mainly because apart from being ridiculously overambitious they completely cut out any kind of fun time, as a result only the first possibly second items on the list get ticked off.

A Typical Non-Revision Day

I thought some non-student would like to know what a typical student revision day looks like, and share it with other students too so they know they’re not the only ones doing more or less no work.

So, here’s what happened for me today:

9:30 Alarm goes off. I turn it off, and go back to sleep.

12:30 Decide to get up and check emails. There’s a package to collect, and it’s my new keyboard. Whoopie! I get up and go downstairs to collect it, and it is exactly as good as I hoped it would be, and is probably going to speed up the time it takes me to write these posts, and do any of my written work … Continue Reading

Pulling The All-Nighter And Why It Works

So, today I had a pretty beastly exam; it shouldn’t have been hard, but for some reason, I always get a really bad memory-block whenever I take exams, especially for dates and specific events in a given time frame. I course, today’s exam was a French history paper too, so on top of all that, my answers had to be written in french. Double-Whammy.
